Waunita L. Badenhop went to be with her heavenly maker on Sunday, September 18, 2022. She was born on January 22, 1933 in Henry County to the late Alva H. and Lorena (Scheele) Hahn. She was baptized on February 12, 1933, and confirmed at St. Peter Lutheran Church in Florida, Ohio. She was a 1952 graduate of Florida High School.

Waunita went to work at Swift and Company in Defiance in the ice cream department. She also worked at Clevite in Napoleon and Walmart in Napoleon. Waunita was married to Verlin D. Barth and was blessed with three children; Beth, Dion and Colleen. In 1975, she married Noel Eicher that lasted 18 years before his passing in 1994. She then married Arnold Badenhop in 1995, he passed away in 2003. Waunita is survived by her son, Dion E. Barth of Defiance, and her daughter, Colleen (Tom) Holley of Sherwood, six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Preceding her in death are her parents, her sister Joy Bongioni, brothers Vern and Ordis Hahn, daughter Beth A. Cline, and grandson Joshua Holley.

A private funeral service will be held for her family. Memorials can be directed to Zion Lutheran Church in Defiance. Schaffer Funeral Home was honored to assist the family with arrangements.  Online condolences can be given at www.Schafferfh.com.
