Wanda I. Hostettler Wanda I. Hostettler, 89, of Defiance, passed away Thursday, November 15th, 2012 at CHP Defiance Area Inpatient Hospice Center. She was born in Cloverdale, Ohio on November 19, 1922, she was the daughter of the late Clarence and Nellie (Foley) Martin. She was a member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church. She had worked at Woolworths, a homemaker and a 1940 graduate of Continental High School. Wanda married James Hostettler June 28, 1941 and he died Dec. 2, 1998. She will be sadly missed by daughters: Judy (Jerry) Chase of Defiance, Connie (Donald) Dodson of Defiance, sisters: Ruth Knoll of Defiance, Betty Mitchell of Oceanside, Ca. brother: Robert (Ruthie) Martin of Continental, by 4 grandchildren: Brad (Jill) Chase, John (Missy) Chase, Jason Gaylord, Megan Smith, and 5 great grandchildren: Chloe Gabrielle Smith, Nora Elizabeth Chase, Parker Ellie Chase, Lilith Zofia Seiple, and Wolfgang Murphy Gaylord. Preceded in death by her husband James and brothers: Forrest Martin and Richard Martin. Services at Lawson-Roessner Funeral Home at 11:00 a,m, on Monday, November 19th, with Rev. Mike Donnally officiating. Visitation for Wanda is Sunday 2-8 at Lawson-Roessner . Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery. The family suggests memorials to the food pantry at St. Paul United Methodist or the CHP Defiance Area Inpatient Hospice Center.
