Walter E. Iler Walter "Reli" E. Iler, 91, of Defiance, passed away Wednesday, April 17th, 2019 at Mercy Hospital of Defiance. He was born in Paulding County, on April 20, 1927, he was the son of the late Ralph and Elsie (Keck) Iler. He was a 1944 graduate of Ayersville High School and a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II serving in Guam as a 3rd Class Yeoman. He owned and operated RELI Satellite Systems for 50 years. He installed 40 foot towers/ antenna and Direct TV systems. He was a member of Evansport United Methodist Church. He enjoyed gardening, lawn care and fishing. Walter was the husband of Connie (Punches) Iler whom he married April 24, 1987. Surviving are his wife Connie, children: Chris (Jeff) Weaner of Traverse City, MI. Ken Iler of Defiance, David Iler of Defiance, Bonnie Iler of Toledo, Nancy (Patrick) Okuley of Toledo and Kurt (Kaitlin) Iler of Stryker, grandchildren: Angie Iler, Lexson Iler, Benjamin Rethmel, Clint Weaner, Brent Weaner, Ian Okuley, Isaac Okuley and Wyatt Iler, sister Phyllis (Clarence) Tullock of Napoleon, sister in law Bert Iler of Paulding. He was preceded in death by a son Greg Iler, a grandson Eric Iler, a brother Ralph Iler, sisters: Beulah Rau and Maxine Haver and his parents Ralph and Elsie (Keck) Iler. Services are 11:00 Tuesday, April 23, at the Evansport United Methodist Church 1580 W. High St. Evansport. Visitation is 3-7 p.m. Monday, at the Lawson-Roessner Funeral Home 1753 S.
