Virginia M. Tule, 95, formerly of Defiance, passed away on Friday, November 16, 2018 at St. Luke's Hospital, Maumee, OH. She was born on June 23, 1923 to Lloyd and Pauline (Cocayne) Smith in Defiance, OH. Virginia worked for The Hubbard Company in Defiance as a shipping clerk.  She was a member of member of St. John Lutheran Church, was an avid reader and especially enjoyed time spent with her children and grandchildren.. Virginia is survived by her three daughters, Marie (Phil) Pellett of Grosse Ile, MI, Sherry Tiede of Sylvania, OH, and Roxanne Hernandez of Defiance, OH, 8 Grandchildren, 7 Great Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, 4 Brothers, 1 Sister. Visitation will be held Monday, November 19, 2018, 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm at Schaffer Funeral Home, Inc., Defiance, Ohio, with funeral services immediately following at 1:00 pm in the funeral home with Rev. Daniel Skillman officiating. Burial will take place in the Riverside Cemetery, Defiance. Memorials are suggested to the Heartland Hospice or Northwest Ohio Dementia.
