Jenny Relyea Virginia K. 'Jenny' K. Relyea, 69, of Defiance, passed away Saturday, April 29th, 2017 at CHP Defiance Area Inpatient Hospice Center. She was born in Defiance, Ohio on September 20, 1947, she was the daughter of the late Glen and Norma M. (Burkhart) Relyea. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, attended St. Mary's Catholic School and was a 1966 graduate of Defiance High School She had worked 10 years at the Laurels, 8 years at Evergreen Care Center, 23 years at Frisch's Big Boy and at the Happy Humpty Restaurant. Jenny will be missed by her sisters: Norma Jean (Paul) Appel of Edgerton, Dolores (Leonard) Cereghin of Tombstone, AZ, Cecelia Relyea of Defiance, Ann (Kurt) Bachellor of Defiance brothers: Patrick (Joann Diemer) Relyea of Bryan, Michael Relyea of Defiance and nieces and nephews. Jenny was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters: Mary, who died in infancy, Theresa Relyea and Janie Philipot and brother Tim Relyea. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Mary Catholic Church at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 2nd, with Father Randy Giesige officiating. Visitation is Monday 4-8 p.m. at the Lawson-Roessner Funeral Home with a Rosary Service 7:00 p.m. Monday. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery. Suggested memorials are to the Defiance Hospice Center.
