Victoria J Delarber-Trine, 60, of Defiance, passed away after a 12 year battle with cancer on  Wednesday, November 6, 2013 at her residence.

She was born on November 27, 1952 to Paul and Marjorie (Hasselschwert) Delarber in Defiance.  On April 11th, 1986, she married the love of her life, Bill Trine and they spent 27 wonderful years together.

Victoria worked as a telephone operator for the United Telephone Company from 1976 until they closed in the early 1980's.  After the telephone company's closing she worked as a bartender and waitress at the Steer and Stein restaurant from 1983 until their closing in 1986.  Victoria did daycare for 10 years and ended her career as Manager of Tropical Tanz Tanning Salon until she became disabled in 2003.  She enjoyed watching Christmas movies, and always had Ella her dog by her side.  She was a fighter through it all.

She is survived by her loving husband, Bill, daughter, Alexa "Lexi" Trine of Defiance, brother, Don (Carol) Delarber of Continental, mother-in-law, Mary Trine of Flatrock, MI, sister-in-laws, Marybeth (Mike) Arnold of Toledo, Patty (Dan) Earle of Noblesville, IN, brother-in-laws, Jim (Holly) Trine of Aurora, CO, and Todd Trine of Flatrock, MI, many nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews, all of whom brought such joy to her life.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Rose M. Shirey

Visitation will be held from 2-4p.m. and 6-8p.m.,  Sunday, November 10, 2013 at Schaffer Funeral Home, Defiance.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 on Monday, November 11, 2013, at the funeral home with Rev. Joe Graves officiating.  Burial will follow in Riverside Cemtery.

The family suggest memorials be made to the family.
