Veulah M Hornish LeFevre, 96, of Defiance, passed away on  Wednesday, January 8, 2014 at the CHP Defiance Area In-Patient Hospice Center.

She was born on May 16, 1917 to John and Elizabeth (Bishop) Hornish in Defiance Co.  Veulah married Albert W. LeFevre in 1974 and he passed away in 1991.

She was a member of Poplar Ridge Church of the Brethren.  Veulah worked at several different places including the Toledo Edison retiring in 1976, the Home Saving & Loan, the Defiance County Clerk's office,  B.F. Goodrich and the Valu Dress Shop. She also volunteered at Defiance Regional Hospital.

Veulah is survived by several nieces & nephews.

Preceding her in death were her parents, husband, Albert, and brothers, Glenn, Richard & Virgil Hornish.

Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 11, 2014 at Poplar Ridge Church of the Brethren with the funeral service immediately following at 2:00 p.m.  Pastor Benjamin Polzin will officiate.  Burial will follow in Poplar Ridge Cemetery.

The family request memorials be made to the CHP Defiance Area In-Patient Hospice Center, Poplar Ridge Poplar Ridge Church or to a charity of the donor's choice.
