Vaughn C. Hanna, 84, of  Defiance, passed away on Wednesday, May  24, 2017 at Glenn Park Assisted Living of Defiance.

He was born on September 13, 1932 to Elmer and Thurza (Reader) Hanna in Defiance. Vaughn served our country in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He worked as a woodsman at Defiance area lumberyards. He enjoyed working with wood, making crafts for family and friends.

Vaughn is survived by two nieces and two nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters, Kathryn Hanna and Dorpha Hanna, brothers,  Russell Hanna, Lyndon Hanna, and Vernon "Keith" Hanna, and two nephews.

Visitation will be held from 10:00-10:30 am on Wednesday, May 31, 2017 at Schaffer Funeral Home in Defiance. A Graveside Funeral Service will follow at 11:00 am at Sherwood Cemetery, with Deb Miller, officiating.

Memorials are suggested to a charity of the donor's choice
