Tyrrell E. "Terry" DeMan, 77, of Defiance, passed away on  Wednesday, December 24, 2014 at Defiance Regional Medical Center in Defiance, Ohio.

He was born on April 15, 1937 to E. Raymond and Violet (Gast) DeMan in Depew, New York. Tyrrell  worked as a Pattern Maker for General Motors. On September 22, 1984 he married Marsha (Wheeler) DeMan who survives.

Tyrrell was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Defiance, and Local UAW #211. He loved to read, and go hunting, camping, boating, and snowmobiling.

Tyrrell  is survived by his wife, Marsha DeMan of Defiance, daughters, Cynthia (Kevin) Bell of Defiance, Michele (Chris) Yurcek of San Diego, California,  Dawn (Scott) Zmuda, Christine DeMan, and Krista DeMan, all of Buffalo, New York, Karrie Wittman of St. Augustine, Florida, Julie (Doug) Heerdegen of Ottawa Lake, Michigan, 15 Grandchildren, 5 Great-grandchildren, and sister, Nardel (William) Hoctor of Buffalo, NY.

He was preceded in death by his parents,E. Raymond and Violet DeMan, and his first wife, Harriet DeMan.

Visitation will be held from 2:00 to 8:00 pm on Monday, December 29, 2014, at Schaffer Funeral Home, Defiance, Ohio. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, December 30, 2014 at St. Mary Catholic Church, with Fr. Randy Giesige, officiating.
Burial will take place in the Riverview Memory Gardens with military honors being accorded by VFW Post 3360.
