Robert "Tony" A. Coressel Robert "Tony" A. Coressel, 73, of Defiance, passed away at 6:30 A:M , Friday, March 5th, 2010 at CHP Defiance Area Inpatient Hospice Center. He was born in Defiance, Ohio on January 3, 1937, he was the son of the late Aloysius "Hap" and Agnes (Hurtt) Coressel. In 1961 he married Arbadella Barnhart who died in 1983. He served in the U.S. Army as a Sgt. and was a member of the Defiance Am Vets. Tony worked in maintenance at Johns-Manville for for 43 years retiring in 1999. He was a 1955 graduate of Defiance High School. Surviving are two sons: James (Betty) Coressel of Defiance, Mark (Marie) Coressel of Napoleon. Sisters: Geraldine Gutman of Defiance, Nina Mayes of Defiance, Teresa (Jerry) Speiser of Defiance and Dorothy Jean (Ed) Pessefall of Sherwood. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren, and 4 great grandchildren. Preceded in death by a sister; Marilyn Mack and two brothers; Paul Coressel and Melvin "Bud" Coressel, Services at Lawson-Roessner Funeral Home at 11:00 A:M on Monday, March 8th. Friends are invited to call Sunday 2-8 at Lawson-Roessner. Interment at Riverside Cemetery where VFW Post # 3360 will conduct honorary military graveside rites.
