Thomas  Kiessling, 66 , of Defiance, passed away on  June 9, 2017 at his home.

He was born on May 30, 1951 to Orville and Irene (Black) Kiessling in Defiance, OH.  Thomas worked for GM in Defiance. On July 10, 1982  he married Mary Love.  Tom loved playing horseshoes, cards, bowling and spending time with his kids and grandkids.

He was a member of Defiance Eagles, VFW #3360, AMVETS and UAW.

Thomas is survived by his loving spouse of 34 years Mary Kiessling, daughters, Tabatha (Robert) Wetzel and Tina (Cathy) Purcell, sons, Phillip Kiessling and Matt Kiessling, father, Orville Kiessling, sisters, Sally Zeedyk and Nancy (Tony) Magaraci, his Loving Dog Brutus and was Mean Machine to, Laz, Alexandria, Will, Zoe, Deja, Kayleah, Noah, Tyler, Vienna, India, Kristeen, Drayvyn, Nayeli, Dre, Alxis, Lebrone and Parker.

He was preceded in death by mother, Irene Kiessling and brother, John Kiessling.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, June 13, 2017, 2:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Schaffer Funeral Home, Inc., Defiance, Ohio.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 14, 2017, 11:00 am at the Schaffer Funeral  Home, Defiance, Ohio, with Pastor Larry Grow and Randall Wilson officiating.

Burial will take place in the Riverview Memory Gardens.
