Timothy G. "Tim" Grunden Sr., passed away July 7th, 2026 at the age of 46. Tim spent his life alongside his high school sweetheart and the love of his life, Natalia, building a life full of love and family.

He was born in Paulding, Ohio on September 9, 1979 to Rebecca (Marvin) Grunden. Tim was a 1997 graduate of Defiance High School. On June 1, 2002 he married Natalia Gonzales, who survives. Tim worked at Campbell's Soup Company in Napoleon for the past nine years. He was happiest outdoors, fishing, hunting, or anywhere he could be on the water. He was a proud life-long fan of the Miami Dolphins, The Ohio State Buckeyes, and Chicago Cubs. He especially loved spending time with his grandson, Greyson.

Wrestling was his life-long passion. He spent countless years traveling for the sport, proudly coaching both his sons and his grandson, and leaving his mark on everyone he mentored along the way.

Tim is survived by his wife, Natalia Grunden, his mother, Rebecca Grunden, his children, Timothy (Meredith) Grunden Jr., Tatum (Cade) Grunden, Hunter Grunden, Ava (Wyatt) Grunden, and Ella (Jose) Grunden, and his grandson, Greyson Grunden.

Visitation will be held on Monday, July 13, 2026 from 2-8 pm at Schaffer Funeral Home in Defiance. A Mass of Christian burial will be at 11:00 am on Tuesday, July 14th at St. John Catholic Church, with Fr. David Cirata officiating. Tim will be laid to rest at Riverside Cemetery.
