Obituary

Thomas  C Schlosser, 84, of Defiance, passed away on  April 6, 2013 at the Toledo Hospital .

He was born on July 17, 1928 to Edgar George  and Helen Irene (Morris) Schlosser in Garrett, IN. . On May 16, 1951 he married Benita Ann "Honey" Decker who preceded him in death on January 6, 1994.  On  October 24, 1998 he married Shirley Schlosser, Defiance, Ohio.

He was a member of Sherwood United Methodist Church, Worked at McDonald Construction, Brown Bakery, and Dinner Bell Foods, Defiance, and was a farmer, Defiance D.A.V., Am Vets, American Legion, and VFW Post 3360.  Sherwood Masonic Lodge #620, Volunteered at the Caring Way Hospice Auxiliary, Enjoyed volunteer work and cooking. Was a Korean War Veteran of the Army and was awarded the Valor Combat Infanterymans Badge..

Thomas  is survived by his spouse Shirley ,Defiance, son, Thomas H. (Patty) Schlosser of Virginia Beach, VA, son, Timothy (Edie) Schlosser of Lambertville, MI, son, Edgar Peter "Pete" (Paula) Schlosser of Defiance, OH, Step Daughter, Tanya (Addison) Brunner of Defiance, OH, grandson, Guy Charles Schlosser of Toledo, OH, granddaughter, Jennifer (Keith) Funkhouser of Temperance, MI, Step Granddaughter, Suzanna Cambell, Evansport, Step Grandson, Nathaniel Brunner of Milwaukee, WI, Great granddaughter, Ashleah Funkhouser, great-granddaughter, Heidi Funkhouser, great-granddaughter, Annie Funkhouser, great-grandson, Timmy Schlosser, Step Great Granddaughter, Addison Campbell, Step Great Grandson, Blaze Campbell.

He was preceded in death by his parents, 1st wife Benita Ann Schlosser, and a  brother, Edgar Joseph Schlosser.

Visitation will be held  at Schaffer Funeral Home, Inc., Defiance, Ohio on Tuesday from 2-8 pm.

Funeral services will be at 11:00AM on Wednesday at the Funeral Home with Rev. Michael Donnally officiating.

Burial will take place in the Riverside Cemetery where the Defiance VFW Post 3360 will accord military honors .

Memorials are suggested to the Caring Way Hospice Auxiliary of Defiance County, and Healing Field Veterans Memorial Fund.
