Theresa R. Celestino, 77, passed away at home on Saturday, January 26, 2013 surrounded by her family. Theresa was born May 13, 1935 in Austin, Texas to the late Reynaldo and Jesusa (Dominques)Ramon. She was married to Carlos M. Celestino on August 28, 1953. He survives her. Theresa had been a resident of Defiance since 1965. She was a member of St. John's Catholic Church. She was a homemaker and worked at Zellers for many years. Theresa was a great cook and enjoyed playing bingo, casinos, travel and her grandchildren. . Surviving besides her husband Carlos, are nine children, Carlos Jr. (Catherine) Celestino of Arlington, Virginia; Irene (Oscar) Flores of San Antonio, Texas; Richard R. Celestino and Rudy J. (Darlene) Celestino all of Defiance; Henry P. (Veronica Mata) Celestino of Saginaw, MI; Julia Celestino and David (Penny) Celestino all of Toledo; Raquel (Michael) Korty of Chester, Virginia and Joseph M. Celestino of Austin,Texas. Also surviving are a sister Julia Trevino and two brothers, Jaoquin Ramon and Joseph Ramon, all of Defiance. She is also survived by 21 grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Besides her parents, she is predeceased by two brothers. Rey Jr. and Jesse Ramon and two sisters, Ramona Urbina and Guadalupe Robles. Visitation will be Tuesday, January 29, from 3-7 p.m. at the Lawson-Roessner Funeral Home 1753 S. Clinton St. Defiance, OH. with a rosary service will be at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at St. John Catholic Church. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery.
