Thelma Gollihue, 77, of Defiance, passed away on Thursday, April 13, 2017 at Twin Rivers Care and Rehabilitation Center in Defiance.

She was born on March 4, 1940 to George and Clara (Bolenbaugh) Burdine in Defiance.  On December 2, 1956 she married Billy R. Gollihue, who preceded her in death on February 26, 1986. Thelma loved spending time with her family, and she enjoyed playing bingo.

Thelma is survived by her daughter, Becky (Greg) Neer of Paulding, son, Billy Gollihue, Jr., son-in-law, Robert Crist of Defiance, 8 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild, brothers, Ronald Burdine, and Riley (Marcy) Burdine of Bryan.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Billy R. Gollihue, daughter, Rose Crist, sisters, Alwilda Ankney, Dianne Burdine, and Annie Sulfridge, brothers, Johnny Burdine, and George "Bud" Burdine,  and grandson, Robert Crist.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 pm on Tuesday, April 18, 2017 at Schaffer Funeral Home in Defiance, and for one hour prior to the service on Wednesday.  The Funeral Service is scheduled for 11:00 am on Wednesday, April 19, 2017 at the funeral home, with Deb Miller officiating. Burial will follow the service at Riverside Cemetery.
