Theodore J. (Ted) Moninger Theodore J. (Ted) Moninger, 17, of Defiance, passed away Tuesday, June 29th, 2010 in an auto accident on Wayne Ave. Ted was born in Defiance, Ohio on April 16, 1993, he was the son of David and Suzanne (Weber) Moninger of Defiance. He was a lifetime member of St. John Catholic Church. He would have been a senior at Defiance High School where he had been a member of the DHS Band playing the trombone, a member of the student council for 3 years and an academic honor student. At St. John Catholic, he was a member of the youth choir, a cantor and musician. Ted's hobbies were gardening and saltwater fish. He was an avid lover of nature and all animals. He was working at Rettig Music. Besides his parents Dave and Sue surviving are a sister: Kristen Moninger: a sophomore and Miami University of Ohio and brother: Ben Moninger who will be a freshman at Defiance High School, and his grandmother Rita Weber of Defiance. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at at St. John Catholic Church, at 10:00 A:M on Saturday, July 3rd, with Father Todd Dominique officiating. Friends are invited to call Thursday 5-9 and Friday 2-9 at Lawson-Roessner Funeral Home with a 8:30 P:M Vigil Service Friday. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery.
