Susan A. Caperton, age 76 of Paulding, Ohio, peacefully passed away on Thursday, March 16, 2023 at The Gardens of Paulding. She was born on February 4, 1947 to the late John and Marjorie (Dillinger) Leonard in Florida. On March 16, 1968 she married Rex Caperton, who preceded her in death. Susan was always happy and fun to be around. She loved spending time with her family. She was a seamstress and enjoyed making quilts, crocheting, gardening, and doing arts and crafts. Susan will be sadly missed by her family and friends. Susan is survived by her son, Robert Caperton of Cecil, OH, her grandchildren, Autumn Caperton of Payne, OH and Andrew Caperton of Defiance, great-granddaughter Amaya, her sisters, Sally Leonard, Sylvie (John) Ricica, Sharmaine (Dave) Kondas and Sharon (Lynn) Sheets, all of Defiance, and her brother-in-law, Myron Bok of Defiance. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Rex Caperton, and her sister, Sandy Bok. A burial of ashes will be held at a late date at Riverside Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the family.
