Sue Ann Rogers, 67, of Defiance, passed away on July 28, 2012 at the Defiance Area Inpatient Hospice Center.

She was born on June 5, 1945 to Walter and Mary (Murphy) Marshaus in Defiance, OH. She attended school at Ayersville. Sue worked as a caterer for Kettering Country Club. She also spent many hours making other people laugh as "Skittles the Clown" with the Chuckleberry Clown Club, and "God's Funny Bones" Clown Company. She was also part of Sweet Adeline's Singing Group.

Sue is survived by her daughter, Marianne (Ken) Frederick of Defiance, OH, daughter, Tonya Rogers of Napoleon, Ohio, brother, Dick (Joan) Marshaus of Woodburn, IN, sister, Karen (Mike) Arens of IA, grandson, Wes Cereghin of Defiance, OH, great-grandson, Levi Cereghin, and her great-granddaughter, Katelyn Cereghin, who was just born on Wednesday.

She was preceded in death by father, Walter Marshaus, mother, Mary Marshaus.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 1:00-4:00 PM at Hanenkrath-Clevenger-Schaffer Funeral Home, Inc., Defiance, Ohio.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, August 1, 2012 at 10:00 am at Hanenkrath-Clevenger-Schaffer Funeral Home, with Deacon Jeff Mayer officiating.

Burial will take place at St. Stephens Lutheran Cemetery following the services. Memorials are suggested to the Defiance Public Library.
