Steven L. Addington, age 68 of Defiance, passed away on Monday evening, November 17, 2025 at CHP Defiance Area Inpatient Hospice Center. He was born in Kingsport, Tennessee on May 18, 1957 to the late Stephen and Phyllis (Blankenbeckler) Addington. He was a 1976 graduate of Napoleon High School. He was married to Pamela (Karr) Addington who preceded him in death on May 29, 2019. Steven worked at Campbell's Soup Company in Napoleon for 15 years. He loved horses and enjoyed riding his horse "Jack". Steven is survived by his brothers, Bill Addington of Defiance, Dale Addington of Napoleon, OH, Richard Addington and Danny (Tammy) Addington, all of Holgate, OH, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by his brother, Alan Addington. Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 22, 2025 from 10:00 am - 12:00 noon at Schaffer Funeral Home in Defiance. A funeral service will follow at 12:00 noon at the funeral home with Rev. Max Begley officiating. Steven will be laid to rest in Riverside Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to CHP Defiance Area Inpatient Hospice Center.
