Steve R. Holifield, 55, of Defiance, passed away on  Saturday, March 17, 2018 at his residence. He was born on September 1, 1962 to Theodore and Joan (Cleo) Holifield in Defiance. Steve was a 1981 graduate of Defiance High School. He was on the  basketball and baseball teams at DHS. Steve proudly served our country in the U.S. Air Force. He loved fishing, and spending time with his family and friends. Steve will be sadly missed by his children, Kasi Holifield and Jacob Holifield, sister, Brenda Morrissey, brothers, Ted (Oislee) Holifield, Darrel (Beth) Holifield, and  Bill (Tasha) Holifield, brother-in-law, Tom Eitniear, and his dog Snow. He was preceded in death by his parents, and sister, Sharon Eitniear. Visitation will be Saturday, March 24, 2018 from 12:00 pm until the Memorial Service at 1:00 pm, at Schaffer Funeral Home.
