Steven "Steve" Allen DePew, 63, of Defiance, passed away on  February 5, 2015 at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center, Toledo, Ohio.

He was born on April 17, 1951 to William and Lillian (DeLisle) DePew in Temperance, Michigan. Steve worked for 37 years at Zeller Corporation in Defiance. He also worked at the Wooden Indian Pawn Shop for 14 years. He loved working on cars with his sons and coaching and training them in boxing for many years.

Steve is survived by his son, Steve (Teresa) DePew of Defiance, daughters, Laura (Jon) Batanian of Sylvania, Ohio, and Tammy (Chris) Schlachter of Toledo, son, Scott (Jessica) DePew of Defiance, 8 Grandchildren, 2 Great-grandsons, brother, Tony DePew of Defiance, sisters, Sherry Osborn of Defiance, Tina (John) Bassett of Montpelier, and Marsha (John) Ankney of South Carolina.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Lillian DePew.

Visitation will be held  from 5:00 to 8:00 pm on Tuesday, February 10, 2015 at Schaffer Funeral Home, Defiance. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, February 11, 2015 at the funeral  home, with Deacon Jeff Mayer officiating. Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery.
