Steve M. Fisher, 75, passed away Thursday, August 31, 2023 at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne, Indiana. He was born January 9th, 1948 in Napoleon, Ohio, to George J. and Norma (Shelt) Fisher. A 1965 graduate of Napoleon High School, he proudly served his country as a U. S. Marine and was a Vietnam veteran. He retired April 1st, 1998 from Defiance General Motors after 27 years of service. On November 16, 1993 he married Linda (Parrish) Bruce who survives. He was a life member of VFW Post #3360 in Defiance. He enjoyed golfing, traveling, and working outside. He is also survived by his stepchildren: Dan (Kelly) Meyer of Toledo; Andrea (Mike) Scott of Livonia, MI; and Aleesha Bruce of Defiance. He was known as Grandpa Golf by his grandchildren, Logan and Josiah Meyer, Ellie and Caleb Scott and Jordan Leitner. Other survivors include his siblings: Richard (Lindy) Fisher of Napoleon; Kevin (Michelle) Fisher of Perrysburg; Mary Jane (Tom) Flowers of McClure: and Brenda (Dave) Flory of Napoleon. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Timothy. Visitation will be from 2:00 to 8:00 pm on Wednesday, September 6, 2023 at Schaffer Funeral Home, 529 Jefferson Avenue in Defiance. A Memorial service will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, September 7, 2023 at the funeral home. The cremains will be interred at a later date, with Military Rites conducted by VFW Post #3360.
