Stella A. (Broda) Herman's Obituary
Stella A Herman, 90, of Defiance, passed away on Monday, March 4, 2013 at the Twin Rivers Care and Rehabilitation Center.
She was born on July 16, 1922 to John and Victoria (Waligula) Broda in Delray, MI. On February 6, 1944 she married Walter Herman and he passed away October 30, 1981.
Stella was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and the Wyandotte Hospital Auxiliary in Wyandotte, MI.
She is survived by her daughter, Sandy Herman of Defiance, OH, son, John (Donnamarie) Herman of Norton, MASS, grandchildren, Bethany, Tyler and Jason Diedrich, Julia and Isabella Herman.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter, Catherine Diedrich, 2 brothers and 1 sister.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Thursday, March 07, 2013 at Hanenkrath-Clevenger-Schaffer Funeral Home, Defiance, with a vigil service at 7:30 p.m.
Mass of Christian Burial will held at 11:00 a.m.Friday, March 8, 2013, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Defiance, with Father Randy Giesige officiating. Burial will follow in Our Lady of Hope Cemetery, Riverview, MI.
The family suggest memorials be made to the American Cancer Society, Alzheimer's Foundation, St. Mary's Food Pantry or Twin Rivers Activities.
