Shirley Ann (Amsbaugh) Morris was born on April 29, 1933, the daughter of Kenneth and Ruth Amsbaugh. On May 14, 2024 at the age of 91, Shirley passed away at home with her daughters by her side.

Shirley grew up in Defiance, Ohio, where she met her forever sweetheart Kenneth Morris. They started their amazing journey together in the second grade and celebrated that love with 67 years of marriage.

Shirley retired from a job she loved as the Secretary of Shoreland School in Toledo, Ohio after 27 years. Upon retirement she and Kenny spent a lot of time traveling in their motor home. Their best trips were when they included their grandchildren.

Shirley was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Barbara Ruth and her beloved husband Kenny. She is survived by her family who loves her more. Her daughters, Pamela (Robert) Eaton and Lori (William) Douge, grandchildren Michael (Yulia) Rood, Kelsey Hoffman, Tyler Eaton and Alex (Brie) Douge, step-grandchildren Michelle Frank and Keri Rood, along with great-grandchildren Cameron and Lainey Hoffman. She is also survived by her brother Thomas Amsbaugh, and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation for Shirley will be on Tuesday, May 21, 2024 from 2:00 to 8:00 pm at Schaffer Funeral Home South, Lawson/Roessner Chapel (1753 S. Clinton Street) in Defiance. A funeral service will be at 11:00 am on Wednesday, May 22, 2024 at Schaffer Funeral Home South, with Rev. Larry Kennedy officiating.
