Sheryl A. Zipfel, 66, of Defiance, passed away on Thursday, February 3, 2022 in St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center, Toledo, OH. She was born on January 21, 1956 to Robert  and Katherine (Siler) Stewart in Pineville, KY.   On April 2, 1992 she married Eric Zipfel, who survives. Sheryl worked as a self-employed Data Collector, and was a member of St. John Catholic Church, Defiance.  Sheryl was a very loving mother who cherished times with family.  She enjoyed taking photos, painting, art and drawings, and especially enjoyed making small jewelry boxes.. Sheryl is survived by her loving spouse of 29 years, Eric Zipfel of Defiance, OH, Daughter, Shannan (Adam) Bates of Defiance, Step Daughters, Holly Zipfel of Greenwood, SC, Danielle Fitzmorris of Simsonville, SC, and Sara Aiken of Greenwood, SC, six Step Grandchildren, brothers and sisters in-law, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, a Brother, Don Stewart, and a Sister, Bobbie Elsebai.

There will be a Celebration of Life held for Sheryl at a later date.  Schaffer Funeral Home, Defiance, was honored to assist the Zipfel Family with arrangements. Memorials are suggested to the St. Michael's Catholic Church Building Fund.
