Obituary

Sheryl M. Borgelt Sheryl M. Borgelt, 44, of rural Defiance, went to her Lord and Savior on Thursday, May 10th, 2018 at CHP Defiance Area Inpatient Hospice Center. She was born in Clovis, New Mexico on February 1, 1974, she was the daughter of the late Viola (Smith) and Michael Hobbs who survives her of Defiance. She was the wife of James Borgelt. They were married June 30, 2001. Sheryl received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology from the University of Toledo. She worked as a service coordinator at Island Parkway Manor - H.U.D. Senior Housing. She was an active member of First Church of God. She was a woman of faith and willing to share with everyone. She had the opportunity to travel and live in seven states as her father was in the military. Sheryl loved her family and will be missed greatly by her husband Jim, three daughters: Kaitlyn Borgelt, Elizabeth Borgelt, Rebecca Borgelt, son Joseph Borgelt, all at home. a sister Janis Hobbs of Mesquite, Texas, her father Mike Hobbs of Defiance, a niece Elise (Richardson) Barrow of Texas. She was preceded in death by her mother on Nov. 11, 2017. Services are 11:00 a.m. Tuesday. May 15, 2018 at the First Church of God 561 Carter Rd. Defiance. Pastors Rick Rufenacht and Larry Kennedy will officiate. Visitation is 2-8 p.m. Monday at Lawson-Roessner Funeral Home 1753 S. Clinton St. and 10-11 a.m. Tuesday prior to the services at First Church of God. Private burial will be in Riverside Cemetery Suggested memorials are to the First Church of God Youth Program.
