Sherry Branham, age 74, of Defiance, passed away surrounded by her loved ones on Thursday, October 8, 2026 at Steel Health & Rehab in Defiance, Ohio.

She was born on March 31, 1952 in Pikeville, KY to the late Billy and Clara (Mullins) Belcher. On November 4, 1968 she married Dean Branham who preceded her in death.

Sherry worked for several years at Johns Manville in Defiance. She was an active member of Voice of Life Church in Ayersville and loved her involvement as a volunteer at the church. Most of all she treasured her time spent with her family, especially the joyful moments spent with her grandchildren. In her leisure time she enjoyed painting, shopping, and sharing her stories with others. She will be greatly missed by her family and many good friends.

Sherry is survived by her son, Ricky (Annette) Branham of Defiance, her grandchildren, Makayla (Miles Whalen) Branham of Toledo, OH and Tanner (Hannah Humphrey) Branham of Ft. Wayne, IN, and great-grandson Grayson Branham.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Andrenna and Belinda Belcher.

There will be no services at this time. Schaffer Funeral Home was honored to assist the family with arrangements.
