Sheri Ann (Hartnett) Welling, 43, of Defiance, went to be with her Lord on Thursday, February 21, 2013 at the CHP Defiance In-Patient Hospice Center.
She was born in Doylestown, PA on August 16, 1969, to William and Joyce (Massinger) Hartnett of Holden Beach, NC.
Sheri is survived by her husband, Gary Welling Jr., whom she married June 2, 2001, her parents, William and Joyce Hartnett, daughter, Savannah, sons, Connor & Dillon, brother, Billy (Mary Finney) Hartnett of Wilmington, NC, father and mother-in-law Gary, Sr. (Pamela) Welling, Bryan, brothers-in-law, Sean (Amy) Welling of Bryan, Tyler (Carrie) Welling of Bryan, nephews, Jacob Hartnett, Masen & Bryce Welling, and special friends, Lynn and Jerry Fensler.
Sheri graduated from Jesse O. Sanderson High School, Raleigh, NC in 1987 and received a Bachelor's Degree from the University of North Carolina Charlotte in 1992, School of Nursing in 1994. After graduation, she was employed by the Carolinas Medical Center in the Trauma/ICU Department, Charlotte. Upon moving to Defiance in 2001, Sheri then became the manager of the Fresenius Dialysis Unit, Defiance. She will be missed by her staff. Sheri was a member of the First Church of God, Defiance.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, February 26, 2013, First Church of God, 561 Carter Road, Defiance with Revs. Larry Kennedy and Rick Rufenacht officiating.
Visitation will be held from 2-8 p.m. Monday, February 25, 2013 at Hanenkrath-Clevenger-Schaffer Funeral Home and one hour prior to the funeral, Tuesday at the church.
The family suggests memorials be directed towards a college fund for her children in care of First Federal Bank, Defiance.
