Shelley Dawn McMillen, 54, of Defiance,  passed away on  Friday, November 24, 2017 at her home in Defiance.

She was born on July 7, 1963 to James and Nancy (Stockman) McMillen in Defiance. She was a 1981 graduate of Defiance High School, and she received her Associates Degree in Culinary Arts from The University of Toledo in 1993. Food was her passion. She loved life and was a friend to everyone. Shelley's favorite quotes are:  ..."Laughter is the Best Medicine....Smile, and the World Smiles With You, and most of all...Love One Another."

Shelley will be greatly missed by her brothers, James "Courtney" McMillen, and Jay Patrick McMillen, both of Defiance, 4 nieces, 4 nephews, several great nieces and nephews, and special friends Bob and Glenda Hatfield.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

A Memorial Service to celebrate her life will be held at 3:00  pm on Saturday, December 2, 2017 at Schaffer Funeral Home in Defiance. A private committal service will be held at a later date at Riverside Cemetery, where she will be laid to rest beside her mother.
