Shelagh M Mattocks, 79, of Defiance passed away Wednesday, May 15, 2013 at the CHP Defiance Inpatient Hospice Center.

She was born April 11, 1934 in Manchester, England and was the daughter of Albert and Edith Sullivan.

Sheila married Eugene "Gene" Mattocks in 1952 and he preceded her in death on June 18, 1991.

She is survived by her four sons; Mark Mattocks of Defiance, Matthew (Sally) Mattocks Ret. U.S. Navy Virginia Beach, VA., David Mattocks and Darren Mattocks both of Defiance, 7 Grandchildren and 2 Great Grandchildren.

Sheila is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her son Michael Mattocks, her granddaughter Shannon and her brother John Sullivan.

She was known to many as "Sheila Luv". Sheila worked for many years at the Chief supermarket until her retirement. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and was a devoted mom who enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.

Family will receive friends on Sunday, May 19, 2013 from 2 to 8pm at the Schaffer Funeral Home, Defiance.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, May 20, 2013 at 11AM at St. Mary's Catholic Church with Father Randy Giesige as celebrant.

Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery, Defiance.
