Sharon L. Houck, age 75 of Defiance, passed away on Tuesday morning, June 25, 2019 at her home in Defiance with her husband by her side. She was born on September 17, 1943 to Gene and Nettie (Borovsky) Beaty in Standish, Michigan. On August 16, 1960 she married Bill Houck, who resides in Defiance.

Sharon was a member of Grace Episcopal Church in Defiance. She worked at Hill's Department Store, Ohio Art Company, and at Campbell Soup Company. In her leisure time she enjoyed riding motorcycles, and spending time with her family. Sharon will be sadly missed by her husband, Bill Houck of Defiance, son, Shawn (Rachael) Houck of Defiance, daughter, Rhonda  (Mike) Binnall of Cabot, Arkansas, four grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, brother, Larry (Diana) Beaty of Kawkawlin, MI, and two sisters, Susan Zapelouch of Bay City, MI, and Denise Borovsky of Minneapolis, MN. She was preceded in death by her parents, her son, William Houck II, granddaughter, Andrea Binnall, and grandson, William Houck, III. A funeral service to celebrate her life will be held at 1:00 pm on Friday, June 28, 2019 at Grace Episcopal Church, with Pastor Donald Leckrone officiating. Memorials are suggested to the family.
