Sarah Lynn Gomez, 22, of Defiance, passed away on Monday, December 2, 2013 from injuries suffered in a traffic accident in Fulton County, OH.

She was born on June 28, 1991 to Tomas Sr. and Irma (Gonzales) Gomez in Defiance.

Sarah was a member of  St. John's Catholic Church.  She was a 2010 graduate of Defiance High School where she sang in the choir.  Sarah attended 4-County school studying landscaping.  She played co-ed softball for Primo's  She loved her job at McDonald's restaurant and loved helping people and fishing..

She is survived by her parents, Tomas, Sr. and Irma Gomez of Defiance, brother, Tomas Gomez Jr. of Defiance, sisters, Ana Gomez of Defiance, Nicole Gomez of Defiance, nieces, Tiera, Sirenah, Elliana and Ajalyn Gomez, Aaliyah Shawver and a nephew, Noah Gomez.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Helario Gomez, Gloria Guerrero and Ramiro Gonzales, aunt, Linda Gomez, cousin, Jacob Salinas, Jr.and family friends, Jamie Hernandez and Ryan.

Visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. Sunday, December 08, 2013 with a Rosary Service at 7:00 p.m Sunday & from 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. Monday, December 09, 2013 at Schaffer Funeral Home,  Defiance.

Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, December 9, 2013, at St. John's Catholic Church with Father Todd Dominique officiating.  Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery.

The family requests memorials be given to a charity of the donor's choice.
