Sara L. Straley, age 66 of Sandusky, Ohio, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, April 25, 2026. She was born on February 17, 1960 in Van Wert, Ohio to James L. Straley and Karen (Keysor) Straley.

Sara graduated from Defiance High School in 1978 and was a graduate of Northwest Tech. She worked as an office manager. She enjoyed sports, especially following the Cleveland Guardians and Cleveland Cavs. Sara was an avid golfer, even challenging her mother for club championships at Auglaize Country Club twice.

Sara was preceded in death by her mother, Karen Straley, her grandparents Ed and Jenny Keysor, and Howard and Ethel Straley.

Sara is survived by her loving father, James L. Straley of Defiance, brothers David (Gudie) Straley of Findlay, OH, and Dan (Brenda) Straley of Defiance, nieces Katie (Ty) Parrish, Kandi Engelhardt, nephew Richard Straley, a great-niece and great-nephews.

A graveside service will be held at Riverside Cemetery at a later date. Schaffer Funeral Home was honored to assist the family with arrangements.
