Sandy E. Goings, 61, of Defiance peacefully passed away on Friday December 16, 2022  at ProMedica Ebeid Hospice Residence in Sylvania, Ohio.

Sandy was born on August 7, 1961 to William and Gladys (Wichman) Antoine in Defiance, Ohio. On January 13, 2003 she married Kim Goings and he survives in Defiance.

Sandy worked for several years at Kissner's Restaurant in Defiance where she enjoyed cooking until her illness prevented her from working. She played softball for 25 years, also enjoyed cooking, baking, and listening to music. Her greatest joy of all was spending time with her grandchildren.

Sandy will be sadly missed by her husband, Kim Goings, her son Tyson (Andrea) Goings, of Bluffton, Ohio, three grandchildren; Braylon, Ariana, and Jayden Goings, and her siblings, Cindy (Joe) Buerkle of Defiance, John Antoine of Defiance, William (Kelly) Antoine of Antwerp, and Annette (Jerry) Maples of Connersville, Indiana.

Sandy was preceded in death by her parents.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday December 20, 2022 from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm at Schaffer Funeral Home South, Lawson/Roessner Chapel (1753 S. Clinton Street) in Defiance. Funeral services will follow at 1:00 pm, with Rev. Randy Wilson officiating. Burial will follow the service at Riverside Cemetery, Defiance.
