Sandra D. Schappert, 74, of Defiance, passed away on Thursday morning, April 16, 2026 at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center in Toledo, Ohio surrounded by her loved ones. She was born in Montpelier, Ohio on May 4, 1951 to the late Karl and JoAnne (Mercer) Moor. In her leisure time she enjoyed reading, painting, gardening. She loved spending time with her family, especially with her grandchildren who brought her great joy. Sandra is survived by her loving daughters, Michelle (Andrew) Feix of Charleston, SC and Melissa A. (Philip) Constien of Defiance, her grandchildren, Caleb Kuhn, Maci Kuhn, and Emma Constien, sister Gail (Charles) Handy of Montpelier, OH, and brother Duane (Angie) Moor of Montpelier. She was preceded in death by her parents, Karl and JoAnne Moor. Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 19, 2026 from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm at Schaffer Funeral Home in Defiance.
