Sandra J. Barnette, 54, of Defiance, passed away on Monday, September 8, 2014 at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center, Toledo, OH.
She was born on June 2, 1960 to James and Margaret (Deanhofer) Hadsell Sr. Sandra worked as a Secretary/Treasurer for Maumee Watershed Conservancy District. On February 16, 1980 she married Charles Kenneth "Ken" Barnette, who preceded her in death on October 25, 2010.
She was a member of Team Defiance Cycling, Believer's Church International, enjoyed her grandchildren and family cookouts.
Sandra is survived by her daughter, Wendy Sherman of Defiance, OH, sons, Jeff Barnette of Edgerton, OH, Matt Barnette of Napoleon, OH, sisters, Becky Roehl of Wauseon, OH, Deb Rosebrock of Napoleon, OH, brother, Jim (Cheresa) Hadsell, Jr. of Napoleon, OH, and 8 Grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Charles Kenneth "Ken" Barnette, father-in-law, Charles E. Barnette, and mother-in-law, Anna Barnette.
Visitation will be held Sunday, September 14, 2014 2:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Schaffer Funeral Home, Defiance, Ohio. & Monday, September 15, 2014 10:00 am - 11:00 am before the services at the church
Funeral services will be held on Monday, September 15, 2014, 11:00 am at the Believers Church International, Defiance, OH, with Apostle O. Michael Smith, officiating.
Burial will take place in the Riverview Memory Gardens.
Memorials are suggested to the Team Defiance Cycling, the church, or St. Vincent's Medical Center - Toledo OH.
