Ruth L. Tadsen Ruth Lenore Tadsen, 97, of Defiance, died Monday, August 3, 2015 at the Laurels of Defiance. She was born January 22, 1918, in Hillsdale, Michigan. She was the daughter of the late Jay and Opal (Patterson) Rumsey. Ruth married Vernon Tadsen on August 5, 1943 and he preceded her in death in 1994. Ruth was his caretaker for seven years as his health deteriorated, Ruth had worked many years at Deluxe Cleaners. She was also a nurse's aide at St. Charles Hospital in Missouri, working with babies and the elderly. Ruth is survived by a son Douglas (Jane) Tadsen of Defiance, a daughter Sharon Fink of Avon By The Sea, New Jersey and a stepson Norman (Rose) Tadsen of Defiance. She is also survived by five grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. Preceding her in death were her husband Vernon, brothers: Ray Rumsey, Dean Rumsey, Doyle Rumsey, Edward Rumsey and sisters: Betty May, Joanne Bramen, Leone LaSara and son-in-law Leo Fink.
