Ruth "Pinky" Loretta Feeney, 93, of Defiance died at the Laurel's on Friday December 9, 2016.

She was born in Defiance, Ohio on January 13, 1923 the daughter of Orville & Ethel (Michael) Marckel.  On June 22, 1944 she married Lester L. Feeney who preceded her in death on May 22, 1997.

Survivors include sons, Michael (Betty Jo) Feeney, Columbus, and Nelson Feeney, of Houston TX, daughters Iris (Tony) Villoch, Michigan City, IN, and Beth (Daniel) March of Defiance.  Eight grandchildren, and eleven great grandchildren and a sister Leona Horstman, Defiance.  Preceding her in death was her parents, husband, a grandson James March, a brother, Justin Marckel, and a sister Iris Hostettler.

Ruth was a member of the Defiance Church of the Brethren, CWU Church Women United, a Girl Scout leader for many years and worked as a cashier at A&P Grocery Store and part time at the State Bank. She enjoyed making noodles and drying apples.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 16, 2016 at the Schaffer Funeral Home, Defiance with the Rev. Gene Yenser officiating.  Burial will follow at Riverview Memory Gardens. Friends may call at the Funeral Home on Thursday, December 15, 2016 from 2-8 p.m.  Memorials may be directed towards the Church, the Defiance Humane Society or to the Friends of Feline Rescue Center.  Online condolences may be left at www.schafferfh.com
