Ruth E Kaufman age 83 died at 4:20AM Wednesday August 28, 2013 at the Vancrest Helathcare Center of Holgate Ohio. She was born December 25, 1929 in Delphos, Ohio to Arnold and Florence (Gerdeman) Reindel. On June 16, 1954 she married Robert B Kaufman who preceded her in death December 31, 2002.. Ruth graduated with the class of 1948 from the Middlepoint, Ohio High School. Ruth worked for 25 years at the Defiance Junior High School Cafeteria, retiring in 1990. Both students and teachers alike were fond of Ruth's cheerful attitude and many acts of kindness. She was a member of the VFW Post #3360 Ladies Auxiliary and the St. Mary Catholic Church Altar Society. She also volunteered over the years at the Good Samaritan School as well as with the DASH organization, both of Defiance. She is survived by three sons: Dennis Kaufman - Defiance David (Tara) Kaufman - Defiance Douglas (Staci) Kaufman - Defiance Sister: Eilene Holdgreve - Delphos, Ohio Brother: Melvin (Jane) Reindel - Middlepoint,Ohio Grandchildren - 4 Great-Grandchildren - 2 In addition to her husband she was also preceded in death by a sister Norma Warneke Visitation will be Thursday from 2-8 PM At the Lawson Roessner Funeral Home. A Rosary Wake Service will be held Thursday evening at 7:30 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday at 11:00 AM at St. Mary Catholic Church, Defiance. Father Randy Giesige will Officate.
