Ruth Annabelle Brinkman, 90, of Defiance, went to be with her Heavenly Father on the evening of  Thursday, September 15, 2016, surrounded by her loving family at Glenn Park of Defiance.

She was born on September 24, 1925 to Louis and Esther (Ansberry) Desgrange in Defiance, Ohio. On March 3, 1946 she married Lester E. Brinkman, who preceded her in death on March 10,  2013.

Annabelle was a member of Ayersville United Methodist Church, and a former member of the Ayersville United Methodist Women. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, canning, baking, cooking, and reading. She was an excellent "teacher" to her family.

Annabelle will be sadly missed by her family; sons, Gary (Janet) Brinkman of Waverly, Ohio, and Denny (Julie) Brinkman of Huntington, Indiana, daughters, Ellen (Edward) Snyder of Ft. Wayne, Indiana,  Lois (Dave) Brown of Ayersville, Judi (Bud) Clymer and Bonnie (Ken) Loch, all of Findlay, Ohio,  8 Grandchildren; Jenni (Jeff) Martin of Ayersville, Michelle (Pat) Keesee of Miamisburg, Ohio, Emily (Bill) Zartman of Ayersville, Chris (Lindsay) Snyder of Corinth, Texas, Tiffany (James) Yoquelet of Ft. Wayne, Indiana, Nikki (Greg) Lareau of Lafayette, Indiana, Ben Brinkman of Defiance, and Jered Brinkman of Huntington, Indiana,  20 great-grandchildren, 8 step grandchildren, 18 step great-grandchildren, and 2 step great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Lester Brinkman, brother, Robert Desgrange, and great-granddaughter, Grace Annabelle Keesee.

Visitation will be held from 2:00 to 8:00 pm on Sunday, September 18, 2016  at Schaffer Funeral Home in Defiance, and for one hour prior to services at the church. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, September 19,  2016 at the Ayersville United Methodist Church, with Pastor Clarence Dinnen officiating. Burial will follow at Ayersville Cemetery.
