Obituary

Ruby  Schuller, 89, of Defiance, passed away on  Monday, October 21, 2013 at the Laurels of Defiance.

She was born on July 8, 1924 to Grover and Lydia (Rahmer) Kunkle in Bryan.  On December 23, 1950 she married Fred Schuller and he passed away August 2, 1987.

Ruby was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church and its Progressive Class.  She was a charter member of the Bryan BPW and a member of the Defiance Regional Hospital Auxiliary.  Ruby was secretary & cashier-hostess at Spencer Elementary School for 40 years. She enjoyed spending time with family & friends, decorating, and garage sales.

She is survived by her step-daughter, Betty (Donald) Wonderly of Hicksville,  son, David Kunkle of Austin, TX, 7 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren, 13 great great grandchildren, nephews, Robert Kunkle of Reno, NV and Tom (Sue) Kunkle of Charleston, SC.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and a brother, Robert Kunkle and 2 grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday at Trinity United Methodist Church with Rev. Joe Graves officiating.  Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery   Visitation will be held  from 2-8 pm Thursday at Schaffer Funeral Home.

The family suggest memorials be made to Trinity United Methodist Church, Defiance Humane Society or to a charity of the donor's choice.
