Roy Coleman, age 65 of Defiance, passed away on Thursday, July 13, 2023 at CHP Defiance Area Inpatient Hospice Center. He was born on January 30, 1958 to Dennie and Perlie (McGuire) Coleman in Chicago, Illinois.  Roy was a member of First Church of God. He enjoyed sports and was always a good student with all A's and B's in school. Roy is survived by his loving mother, Perlie Lang of Defiance. He was preceded in death by his father, Dennie Coleman, stepfather, Elmer A. Lang, and his brother, Jeffery Coleman. Visitation will be held on Monday, July 17, 2023 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at Schaffer Funeral Home in Defiance. A funeral service will follow at 1:00 pm at the funeral home, with Pastor Mick Sobieck officiating. Burial will follow the service at Riverside Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to CHP Defiance Hospice Center.
