Rosemary Roberts, age 85 of Defiance, OH, formerly of Alma, Michigan, passed away Tuesday, October 26, 2021. Rosemary was born April 25, 1936 in Saginaw, the daughter of Edward and Herma (Flory) Rivers. On November 27, 1972 she married Richard "Dick" Roberts in Chicago, Illinois. Rosemary helped run Fordney Hotel in Saginaw. She later moved to Illinois to run the Best Inns of American in Mt. Vernon and Marion. Rosemary and Dick built the Best Inns of American in Greensboro, NC where they lived for several years. Rosemary retired from hotel service in 1995. Rosemary enjoyed boating and spending time with family and friends at the cottage on Crystal Lake. She is survived by her four children, Debra Curtis, Diane (Don) Sheets, Mark Wade, Dawn (Jon) Brandi, 15 grandchildren Michael, Brad, Whitney, Brittany, Mallori, Larry, Jessica, Leha, Cambry, Brett, Derek, Zachary, Lance, Megan, Daniel and 13 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, two sons, Richard "Rob" Roberts and Larry Wade and a daughter-in-law; Diana Roberts. A private family graveside service will be held at Riverside Cemetery, Alma, MI. Local arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Lux-Moody-Wolfel Funeral Home, Alma.
