Rosemary "Rosie" Lero, 80, of Defiance, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 8, 2015 at Defiance Regional Medial Center.

She was born on October 20, 1934 to Joseph and Gladys (Lang-Hiler) Lero in Defiance, Ohio.

Rosemary was a member of St. John United Church of Christ in Defiance. She was President of the Ladies Group, and was active in various other committees at church. She was a Life Member of Beta Sigma Phi. Rosemary volunteered with the Red Cross, and was also a Hospice Auxiliary Fair volunteer. She worked as a Registrar at the Defiance Health & Vital Statistics Office from 1954 to 1966, and she worked at Zeller Corporation as a Purchasing Agent and Buyer for 32 years, retiring in 1998.

Rosemary is survived by her sister-in-law, Thelma Hiler, and many loving nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and great-great-nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Gladys Lero, half-brother, Clifford Hiler, half-sisters, Dorothy Hancock, Helen Hornish, and Anna Fillinger.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 to 11:00 am on Saturday, January 10, 2015, at St. John United Church of Christ, Defiance. Funeral Services will follow at 11:00 am at the church with Rev. Bob Jencks officiating. Burial will take place at Riverside Cemetery.
