Rose E. Crist, 57, of Defiance, passed away on Sunday, March 22, 2015. She was an incredibly devoted wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and more to so many.
She was born on September 9, 1957 to Billy and Thelma (Burdine) Gollihue in Ft. Wayne, Indiana. On March 13, 1976 she married her high school sweetheart and love of her life, Robert Crist. Together they celebrated 39 years of marriage, with three beautiful daughters and nine amazing grandchildren. Rose's greatest joy in life was her family and we were truly blessed to have her in our lives. Her loving spirit will forever live in our hearts.
Rose is survived by her loving spouse, Robert Crist of Defiance; mother, Thelma Gollihue of Defiance; daughters, Rachael (Connie Sierra) Crist of Frederick, Maryland, Robbie Crist of Defiance, and Randa (Dennis) Howard of Defiance; nine Grandchildren, Janell, Alfonso (Paco), Dennis, Felicia, Angie, Ramon, Jae'Den, Dallas, and Avery; sister, Rebecca (Gregory) Neer of Paulding; and brother, Billy Gollihue II.
She was preceded in death by father, Billy Gollihue, and son Robert Dale Ray Crist.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 pm on Wednesday, March 25, 2015 at Schaffer Funeral Home, Defiance. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, March 26, 2015, at the funeral home, with Pastor Larry Kennedy officiating. Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery.
