Rosalia O. Hinojosa, 68, of Defiance, passed away on  Friday, September 27, 2013 at Mercy Hospital of Defiance.

She was born on September 3, 1945 to Esteban and Francisca (Herrera) Olivo in Edinburg, TX.

Rosalia was a member of Member of St. John's Catholic Church.

She is survived by sons, Jaime (Jill) Hinojosa of Defiance, Victor (Patti) Hinojosa of Evansport, daughter, Lisa (Chadd) Speiser of Defiance, grandchildren, Isaac & Daniel, Alejandro, Andres &, Ariana  Hinojosa, Remington Speiser, brother, Bernabe Olivo of NY, Jose Angel (Estella) Olivo of Houston, TX, sisters, Teresa Olivo of Edinberg, TX, and Jesusa Olivo of McAllen, TX.

She was preceded in death by her parents, infant son, Michael Hinojosa and a sister, Petra Olivo.

Visitation will be held from 2-8 p.m. Tuesday, October 1, 2013 at Schaffer Funeral Home, Defiance with a Rosary Service at 7 p.m..  Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 2, 2013, at St. John's Catholic Church, with Father Todd Dominique officiating.  Burial will follow in Riverview Memory Gardens.

Memorials are suggested to the American Diabetes Association or to the Kidney Foundation.
