Ronald E. Peio, Sr., 76, of Fairfield Glade, Tennessee, and formerly of Defiance, passed away on Sunday, July 17, 2016 at Cumberland House Hospice in Fairfield Glade, TN.

He was born on April 29, 1940 to Frank and Lucille (Woolever) Peio in Toledo, Ohio. On July 24, 1961 he married JaHannah R. (Davis) Peio, who preceded him in death on June 8, 2010. On February 14, 2014 he married Nancy (Van Kleeck) Peio, who resides in Tennessee.

Ron worked at General Motors in Defiance for  25 years, retiring in 1992. He had also worked at Wolohan Lumber and Lowe's in Defiance. He was a former member of Peace Lutheran Church, and was a life member of Elk's and Moose Lodges. Ron was an avid golfer and bowler.

Ronald will be sadly missed by his family; sons, Ron E. (Julie) Peio, Jr., and John D. (Tina) Peio, all of Defiance, daughter, Lisa (Mike) Hise of Atlanta, Georgia,
8 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, first wife JaHannah Peio, three sisters and one brother.

Visitation will be held Monday, July 25, 2016 from 9:00 am - 11:00 am at Schaffer Funeral Home, Defiance. A Graveside Service will follow at 11:30 am at Riverside Cemetery in Defiance, with Rev. David Brobston officiating.
