Ronald R. Leininger, age 63, of Defiance, passed away on Thursday, September 3, 2026 at his home in Defiance.

He was born in Defiance on March 8, 1963 to LaMar and Rita (Mast) Leininger. Ron was a 1982 graduate of Ayersville High School and worked for 26 years at Conagra in Archbold, Ohio. Ron was a very kind and simple man. He loved his family and was a talented woodworker. He enjoyed fishing and watching football with his kids and hanging out with his grandchildren. He was a huge fan of The Ohio State Buckeyes, Cleveland Browns, NASCAR, and the Little League World Series. Ron will be greatly missed and never forgotten by his family and many good friends.

Ron is survived by his mother, Rita Leininger of Defiance, his children, Steven (Suzie) Leininger, Shane Leininger, and Chelsea (Maranda) Leininger, and four grandchildren, Grayson and Braylon Leininger, Chevelle Steel, and "Junior" Couts. He also leaves behind his siblings, twin brother Don (Rhonda) Leininger, and sisters, Beth (John) Marcellus, Jane Leininger, and Theresa Leininger.

He was preceded in death by his father, LaMar Jay Leininger, brothers, Michael and Scotty Leininger, sister, Ann Marie Leininger, and grandchildren, Kyla, Connor, and Brayden Leininger.

Visitation will be held on a later date, at Schaffer Funeral Home in Defiance.
