Roger Lee Wright, 49, of Defiance, passed away on  Thursday, September 18, 2014 at the CHP Defiance Area In-Patient Hospice Center, with his family at his side.

He was born on October 22, 1964 to Garland and Marlene (Williams) Wright in Defiance. On July 16, 2000 he married Deborah McCauley.

Roger was a member of the AmVets and a former member of the Defiance Moose.   He loved karaoke, singing & entertaining.  Roger was the life of the party, making friends with everyone he met.  He always looked forward to spending time with his grandkids and his four dogs, Daisy, Gir, Dixie and Coco.

Roger is survived by his wife, Debi Wright, of Defiance, mother, Marlene Wright of Palmetto, FL, daughters, Kelsie Wright of Defiance, Kylie (Tanner) Smith of Stryker, Kierstin Wright of Defiance, Kaytlin Wright of Hicksville, Karlee Wright of Hicksville, son, Jaymes Wright of Defiance, sisters, Sandy (Mike) Kaufman of Defiance, Sherry Lavigne of Palmetto, FL, grandkids, Leigha & Jordynn Smith, Lillie Grubb, and Brayton Lee.

He was preceded in death by his father and a brother, William "Bill" Wright.

Visitation will be held from 2-8 p.m. Tuesday, September 23, 2014, at Schaffer Funeral Home, Defiance, OH.  Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, September 24, 2014, at the funeral home with Preacher Mike Kaufman officiating.

Memorials are suggested to the family for the funeral service.
