Roberto R. Perez, 71 of Orlando, Florida and former Defiance resident passed away Friday
evening, August 17, 2012 in the Hospice of the Comforter, Altamonte Springs,
Florida.

He was born April 17, 1941 in Puerto Rico and was the son of Higinio and Dolores (Reyes)
Perez.

Roberto is survived by his wife of 28 years, Rosalba (Aceituno) Perez of Orlando, FL, sons;
Jaime Perez of Orlando, Jerry and Michal Perez both of Defiance, daughters; Maria Rodriguez and Dolores Perez both of Defiance, 8 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren,  4 brothers; Juan (Elizabeth) Perez of Frankfort, Ind., Jose Perez of Grand Rapids, MI, Sam (Irene) Perez of Orlando, Tony Perez of Defiance, 8 sisters; Eva (Tito) Carrasquillo of Defiance, Virginia Arce of AL, Laura Gonzalez & Ida Rodriguez both of Puerto Rico, Olga Ismael Rodriguez of Defiance, Edna (Bill) Pagan of Defiance and Lydia Rodriguez of Puerto Rico.

He worked at GM Powertrain until his retirement in 1996.   Roberto enjoyed golfing and singing.

Family will receive friends on Wednesday, August 22, 2012 from 5 to 8pm in the
Hanenkrath-Clevenger-Schaffer Funeral Home, Defiance.

Funeral service will be Thursday, August 23, 2012 at 11am in the Bethel Worship Center,
817 Sauers Ave. Defiance with his brother Pastor Juan Perez and Arthur Perez and Rev. Roberto Candelario officiating.

Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Defiance.

Memorial Contributions may be made to Bethel Worship Center.
